AI Clerics Privacy Policy

1. Our privacy commitments

AI Clerics is designed to minimize the personal information it needs and to separate private content from content you choose to publish.

AI Clerics does not:

• sell personal information;
• share personal information for cross-site or behavioral advertising;
• create advertising profiles;
• use third-party marketing pixels;
• use private user content for advertising;
• use private user content to train AI Clerics models;
• permit personnel to browse stored Private Adventures; or
• permit personnel to read the contents of end-to-end encrypted direct messages.

2. Information we process

A. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, AI Clerics may process:

• your email address, login information, public handle, profile image, and optional profile details;
• account settings, mature-content visibility choices, and gameplay safety choices;
• Scenarios, Characters, artwork, descriptions, tags, and other creator content;
• Adventure instructions, player actions, AI responses, story history, summaries, memories, private notes, saved world state, and saved relationship state;
• public posts, comments, ratings, likes, follows, feedback, and other community activity;
• direct messages, as described in Section 5;
• reports about content or users; and
• information you deliberately send to support, privacy, or security contacts.

If you use a third-party sign-in method, AI Clerics may receive the limited account information you authorize that service to provide.

B. Information processed automatically

AI Clerics may process limited technical information needed to operate and protect the Service, including:

• IP address and basic request information;
• device, browser, application, and session information;
• security, fraud-prevention, and abuse-prevention information;
• technical errors and diagnostic information;
• limited usage and performance information; and
• limited message-delivery information needed to operate direct messaging.

C. Information AI Clerics does not ordinarily require

An ordinary AI Clerics account does not require your legal name, home address, phone number, full date of birth, government identifier, precise physical location, or payment-card information.

Do not place passwords, financial information, government identifiers, medical records, confidential business information, or another person’s private information in Adventures, profiles, messages, reports, or uploaded content.

3. How information is used

AI Clerics processes information to:

• create, authenticate, and protect accounts;
• provide the website and application;
• save and synchronize user content;
• generate an AI response when you request one;
• deliver end-to-end encrypted messages;
• display content according to your visibility choices;
• apply content ratings and your selected safety settings;
• provide creator and community features;
• maintain reliability and diagnose errors;
• prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats;
• respond to support, privacy, and security requests;
• send necessary account, security, service, and legal notices;
• enforce the Terms of Service; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, AI Clerics processes information because it is necessary to provide the Service you request, because you have consented, because AI Clerics has a legitimate interest in operating and protecting the Service that does not override your rights, or because processing is required by law. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, although doing so may prevent use of the related feature.

AI Clerics uses two independent controls. Your mature-content visibility setting determines whether mature publications appear in discovery and similar browsing surfaces. Your separate gameplay safety setting determines what the AI is permitted to generate. When Safe is selected, AI Clerics prevents the AI from generating mature content. Changing one setting does not change the other.

4. Private Adventures and AI processing

Private Adventures are encrypted before being stored. This protection covers player actions, AI responses, story history, story summaries, memories, private notes, saved world state, and saved relationship state.

AI Clerics personnel do not possess the keys needed to decrypt or browse stored Private Adventures. Readable Private Adventure content is not included in analytics, ordinary operational logs, staff tools, support dashboards, advertising systems, or model-training datasets. This does not prevent you from deliberately copying content into a support request or report; content you deliberately submit in that way can be reviewed for that request.

AI processing occurs only when you request an AI action. To answer that request, only the story context reasonably necessary to generate the requested response is temporarily decrypted and securely processed by the selected AI system. This processing is automatic and does not give AI Clerics personnel access to the Adventure.

The selected AI processing provider may temporarily process that limited context solely to perform the requested AI action. AI Clerics does not authorize providers to use private content for behavioral advertising or model training. AI Clerics does not retain an additional readable copy after the requested processing is complete. The resulting response is encrypted before it is stored.

Direct messages are never included in Adventure AI processing.

5. End-to-end encrypted direct messages

Direct messages are encrypted before leaving the sender’s device. Only the sender and intended recipients can decrypt their contents. AI Clerics personnel cannot read direct-message contents, and AI Clerics does not possess the keys needed to decrypt them.

Direct-message contents are not:

• sent to AI processing systems;
• placed in analytics or ordinary operational logs;
• displayed through staff or support tools; or
• used for advertising or model training.

AI Clerics processes only the limited information necessary to deliver encrypted messages, identify conversation participants, maintain delivery and read status, prevent abuse, and protect account security.

A participant may voluntarily disclose a specific message when submitting a report. Only the content deliberately included in that report becomes available for review. Deleting a conversation from your account cannot erase a copy or screenshot already retained by another participant.

6. Private, unlisted, and public content

Private content is available only through the account and features for which it was created. It may include Private Adventures, creator drafts, unpublished Scenarios and Characters, private notes, account settings, direct messages, and private reports.

Unlisted content is designed not to appear in general AI Clerics discovery, but anyone who has its link may be able to access it. Do not treat an unlisted link as confidential.

Public content may include selected profile information, published Scenarios and Characters, publication descriptions, artwork, tags, ratings, comments, creator attribution, and aggregate engagement information.

Before publishing, review both the content and its visibility setting. Published content may be viewed, shared, discussed, indexed by search engines, and copied where you have enabled creator-authorized copying. Unpublishing or deleting content stops normal future display through the Service, but AI Clerics cannot guarantee deletion of screenshots, search-engine caches, external copies, recipient-held copies, or separate creator-authorized copies.

AI Clerics may use automated safety processes to apply content ratings, enforce selected safety settings, and identify prohibited material in public or unlisted content and in AI output requested by a user. This does not permit AI Clerics personnel to browse stored Private Adventures or read end-to-end encrypted direct messages.

7. Community information

AI Clerics may process information connected to profiles, follows, blocks, likes, saves, ratings, comments, notifications, feedback, reports, and moderation decisions.

Public community contributions and aggregate engagement counts may be visible to other users. Private saved-content activity is not made public unless you deliberately choose a feature that shares it. Blocking limits future interaction and communication through the Service. Private feedback and confidential reports are limited to the submitting user and authorized reviewers, except where disclosure is required to investigate the report, protect users, or comply with law.

8. Service providers and disclosures

AI Clerics may allow trusted service providers to process limited information when necessary to operate the Service, authenticate accounts, store encrypted information, generate requested AI responses, deliver service emails, protect security, process participant-submitted reports, and comply with legal obligations.

Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for their function. They are not authorized by AI Clerics to use private information for behavioral advertising. AI Clerics requires appropriate contractual, organizational, and security protections for information processed on its behalf.

AI Clerics may also disclose information that it possesses:

• when you direct or consent to the disclosure;
• when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect rights, safety, and security; or
• when required by valid legal process or applicable law.

AI Clerics can disclose only information it possesses and can access.

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires it, AI Clerics uses legally recognized safeguards for such processing.

9. Analytics and advertising

AI Clerics may collect limited or aggregated information about visits, performance, errors, and general feature usage to maintain reliability and understand how the Service is used.

Analytics do not include readable private stories, prompts, AI responses, creator drafts, or direct-message contents. Analytics are not used for behavioral advertising, and AI Clerics does not track users across unrelated websites for advertising.

AI Clerics does not use advertising cookies or third-party marketing pixels. More information appears in the Cookie and Local Storage Notice.

10. Security

Personal information and private content are encrypted in transit and at rest. Passwords are securely protected and cannot be read by AI Clerics. AI Clerics uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards and restricts access to account information according to role and need.

No online service can promise perfect security. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, devices, recovery methods, and any decrypted copies you save or share. Report suspected account compromise or security problems to security@aiclerics.com.

11. Email communications

AI Clerics may send operational emails concerning account confirmation, sign-in, password recovery, email changes, security events, beta access, support responses, and important service or legal notices. These messages are necessary service communications and are not marketing.

Promotional emails, if offered, require separate permission where required and include a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from promotional email does not stop necessary account, security, or legal notices.

12. Retention and deletion

AI Clerics retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet applicable legal obligations.

When you validly delete private content or your account, AI Clerics removes it from normal use. Limited information may remain temporarily in protected backups until normal deletion cycles complete, or longer where retention is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Public content may remain in screenshots, external copies, search-engine caches, and other places outside AI Clerics’ control. A message recipient may retain a decrypted copy or screenshot. A separate copy created with the original creator’s permission may remain after the original is removed, subject to the Terms of Service and any legal or safety removal requirement.

13. Your rights and controls

Depending on applicable law, you may ask AI Clerics to:

• provide access to personal information associated with your account;
• correct inaccurate account information;
• export available account information;
• delete Private Adventures;
• delete a direct-message conversation from your account;
• unpublish or remove creator content;
• remove a pending beta-access request;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
• delete your account; or
• explain how your information is processed.

Send privacy requests to privacy@aiclerics.com. AI Clerics may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may request only the information reasonably necessary for verification.

A request may be limited where another participant retains their own message copy, public copies or screenshots exist, search-engine caches remain, creator-authorized independent copies exist, or security, legal, and normal backup-retention requirements apply. Where applicable law gives you the right, you may also complain to the competent data-protection authority.

14. Age and children

AI Clerics is not directed to anyone under 16 years old, and people under 16 may not create or use an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live and applicable law requires permission from a parent or legal guardian, you may use the Service only with that permission.

Some content, features, and settings may be limited or unavailable based on applicable law, region, distribution channel, or account settings. AI Clerics may apply reasonable access and safety controls for those purposes.

If AI Clerics learns that a person under 16 created an account or provided personal information, AI Clerics may restrict the account and take appropriate steps to delete the information.

15. Changes to this Policy

AI Clerics may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, or privacy practices. The effective date will be updated, and reasonable notice will be provided before a material change takes effect where required.
